Gay Personal Trainer Doug Blasdell

Doug Blasdell, a member of Jackie Warner's staff of personal trainers on Bravo's Workout, died this week. Doug was one of three openly gay trainers on the show, including new lesbian icon Jackie herself.

If you were a fan of Bravo's "Work Out" you probably knew trainer Doug Blasdell, a regular on the reality series. Doug died this week in hospital in Los Angeles. He was 44.

"Work Out" followed celebrity trainer Jackie Warner and her staff that included Blasdell. Both Warner and Blasdell were openly gay.

"It's a beautiful thing because it really focuses on being gay and the gay community in general," Doug told our sister publication "After Ellen" earlier this year.

"The people they picked represent our community very well...the three of us give different examples of what it is to be gay. And none of it is negative."
